Who doesn’t love a gold medal?!

What we do know is that Mahoor Shahzad does!

The young badminton player from Pakistan once again shines at the top level winning a title for Pakistan.

The super talent defeated Iran Soraya Aghaei in an exciting tournament finalee at the International series in Islamabad

She finished with scores of 21-15, 16-21 and 21-16 crowning her as champion of the tournament.

The game swung both ways and from one side to another, but ultimately it was our very own champion from Karachi who came out on top and in the process, received a Gold medal.

The 23 year old had similar success recently in the Bulgarian international series where she finished with a Bronze medal. However, this time, she went two steps further and captured the Gold.

At only 23 years of age, our Pakistani superstar has a lot of years left in the game, and is a name not to be ignored!

This certainly will not be the last World title Mahoor wins for Pakistan.

We look forward to seeing her progress in the forthcoming years.
